'' Brand personality is the way a brand speaks and behaves. It means assigning human personality traits to a brand so as to achieve differentiation''.
Questa 'personalità' viene spesso data attraverso un personaggio creato apposta per una specifica campagna pubblicitaria o attraverso un Testimonial. In questo caso vediamo come NIKE, che cominciò a far uso dei primi tv commercials nel 1982, riesca ad indicare in maniera straordinaria la personalità del brand attraverso i suoi spot e i suoi testimonial, primo fra tutti Michael Jordan messo sotto contratto da nike nel 1985, quand'era ancora un ventunenne promettente giocatore di basket a livelli collegiali, poi acquistato dai Chicago Bulls.
La personalità di NIKE viene comunicata, in questo emozionante spot, a 360º attraverso un monologo del leggendario campione di Basket che dice esattamente così:
